To keep communities informed about the environment and Diavik, EMAB organizes annual public meetings in the communities. We usually give an hour-long presentation, followed by a question and answer period and discussion. It's also usual for us to host a feast immediately after the public meeting.

EMAB held a Board meeting in Lutselk'e in December 2018 to work on development of a fiver-year action plan. The Board also held a public meeting and a feast. We heard a lot of interest about the mines closure plans.

EMAB attended a Closure Plan Update hosted by Diavik in Ndilo in April 2017 to observe and assess the process.
