On June 17, 2019, EMAB board members and staff travelled to the mine site for a tour. The tour was led by Diavik personnel to observe various areas of the site including: the waste rock pile, PKC facility, water treatment plant, A418, A154, open pit mining at A21, the waste transfer area, and waste rock test piles. Board members and staff were impressed with the site tour and it was a great opportunity to learn more about the mine. There are photos from this site visit posted in the gallery.
